🥋 Who Am I?
I’m Sensei CJ, and I’ve been teaching martial arts for over 14 years.
I hold multiple black belts, including:
4th Degree Black Belt in Kenmei Wa Ken Jitsu and recognition as founder through the International Independent Martial Artists Association
3rd Degree Black Belt in Northern Mantis Kung Fu
3rd Degree Black Belt in American Karate
1st Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Jiu-Jitsu
1st Degree Black Belt in Jidokwan Tae Kwon Do
I also hold a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (with over 12 years of experience), and have over a decade of experience in Muay Thai, Aikido, and Japanese Jujutsu
I began teaching in 2011 and went on to run multiple concurrent programs at a school with over 500+ students. I became the lead instructor and program director in January of 2020. Over the next 3 years I brought classes from struggling to maintain 2-4 students per class, to consistently getting as many as 30+ students in some classes, as well as expanding class offerings and improving student retention well beyond what it was before I took over the programs. I did all this during the toughest time in recent history to grow a martial arts program.
In 2023 I opened my own school with nothing but my $1,500 tax return, teaching a unique multi-discipline system, and grew it from 0 to 40+ students in less than 2 years, without a franchise name, a big budget, or sacrificing the quality of my instruction.
Now I want to share everything I’ve learned over the past 14 years of teaching, 5 years of running programs, and 2 years of running my own school. I see so many schools with so much to offer falling into the same pitfalls that hold them back from reaching the levels of success that they deserve.
